TELEVISION LIGHTING 101
Day One AM
We start at ground level with a brief history of modern televison lighting and staging.
Students study the anatomy of lights, plug-in electronics, terminology and installation methods. From there, we learn how to design a simple lighting system for camera, incorporating the classroom fixtures and props.
PM Light and Lens Theory: Examine the relationship between light and camera. 
Practical Lighting with Camera: The student gets to make things work, becoming familiar with uses and functions of the various types of lighting available today. HANDS-ON. See results on the studio monitor
Using PC control, visualizer and the studio system we learn how to light for video and projection
1) Head and shoulder studio portraits,
2) Music productions and audiences,
3) Keynote speakers with video backgrounds 
Day Two AM
Students will spend the morning creating a four minute cue-sequence for television. The purpose is to create a three scene television program. . The object, to maintain a perfect picture for both camera and eye, while maintaining the astetic quiality through each scene and transition.
PM It's Showtime! Students present their own four minute television program, in real-time. 
We end the course with a review and round-table discussion.
